I'm Brian Mbugua, a content creator specialist for gaming and tech brands. I have the on camera presence that earns the click, fluent English that carries an international audience, and the production skill to back both up. Editing, motion graphics, and design are tools in the arsenal, pulled out when the work calls for them. Available worldwide, working remote.

I didn't just study social media. I shipped it. My YouTube channel became the portfolio that got me hired at esGaming as a social media content creator, with a clear mandate: educate the audience about products and drive sales. The passion projects, Watu Wa Gaming News and Bloody Actor, keep running alongside, because this is the work I'd do whether or not anyone was paying me.
The flagship case study. How a personal mission became a gaming media brand, and the portfolio that got me hired.
East Africa's gaming scene had passionate players but no media brand built for them. No client and no external brief. I set the target myself: build a gaming community for the region, and the content engine to serve it.
Start from absolute zero. No audience, no budget, no team. Earn credibility in a niche global gaming brands overlook, on platforms where the algorithm only rewards consistency and production quality I would have to deliver solo.
I treated it like a product launch, not a hobby. I defined the brand and a navy and pink visual identity, then split the channels by job: YouTube for long form and news, TikTok for short form reach. Everything ran on one repeatable system, the Watu Wa Gaming News format, so output stayed weekly and on brand.
One person, the full stack of a media brand:
The clearest result is a hire. Watu Wa Gaming became the portfolio strong enough to land me a paid Social Media Content Creator role at esGaming. The audience numbers below tell the rest of the story.
"I brought Brian on because he makes genuinely professional videos. That was the deciding factor."
ERIC MUTWIRI · EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ESGAMING
If I restarted today I would lock a fixed publishing calendar from week one instead of finding the rhythm mid-flight, and wire up analytics earlier so every content call had data behind it. Next step: scaling the news format and bringing in contributors so the brand outgrows a one-person team.

Brian Mbugua. Brand: Bloody Actor. One of the sharpest content creators coming out of Kenya, built for remote work worldwide. I'm not the SMM who only schedules posts. I'm on camera talent first: a presenter people genuinely want to click on, with the production skill and strategy to turn that attention into results.
Day job: Social Media Content Creator at esGaming, where I run the managed TikTok feed with one mandate: educate the audience about products, drive sales. Passion projects: Watu Wa Gaming News (gaming news format, founded by me) and Bloody Actor (my personal channel). Both still ship, because this is the work I do whether or not someone's paying me.
I'm fluent in the gaming and tech internet: the references, the meme cycles, the algorithm patterns. I live inside it. For a hiring manager, that's one role instead of three. For an agency, one creative who replaces a chain of contractors. For a brand, content that doesn't feel translated.
Hiring for a remote social media role? Building a gaming or tech brand that needs a content engine? I'm available globally.
